The Remarkably Reusable Plastic Bag

  • Wrap a wet paint brush tightly in a plastic bag while you take a break and the brush will not dry out.
  • Carry a few in the diaper bag for wet or dirty clothes.  This will prevent other items to become messy.
  • Stuff an outfit to make a scarecrow at Halloween time.
  • Pack the shampoo, hairspray, etc in a zipper bag - just in case something decides to leak.
  • When packing a suitcase, plastic bags can be used to wrap that extra pair of shoes.  This will stop any dirt from rubbing onto other clothing.  Pack a few extra to keep the dirty clothes separate from clean clothes.
  • Keep a few in the car to line the bottom of the truck or the seat when hauling items such as plants or potting soil.
  • Stuff a pillow sham if you don't have an extra pillow.
  • Donate them to the library, schools, local charity stores, etc.
  • Take to the beach to carry the wet clothes and toys home.
  • Pack matches in a sealed bag when hiking or canoeing.
  • Crumple them up and use for packing material.
  • Take them on the next grocery stop.  Most stores will let you reuse them and some even reimburse you for the ones you reuse.
